3. What makes a good teacher

During life. People learn many things since they go to school. They spend time trying to acquire knowledge, and they become professionals. Those professionals do not learn by themselves at all. There must a person who contributes in this learning process. Thanks to those people, people become what they are. Here, teachers make this contribution. A teacher is the person who guide and facilitate the learning process. A teacher plays an important role in students` lives because teachers teach not only theory or concepts but also they teach them to solve problems, to thick critically, values and so on.

However, we can find bad teachers because they cannot do their jobs well for many reasons. For example, they are not motivated because teaching is not the profession they want. Maybe, they do not use the appropriate techniques, or they do not like to teach as simple as that. On the other hand, we can find many good teachers. However, what makes them good? And how can bad teachers become good? Here are some aspects that makes a good teacher.

1.    Responsible

Teachers ask students to be responsible in the tasks they have, but if the teacher were not responsible, students would not be the same. The responsible teacher always prepare classes and make meaningful activities. They always have everything in control.

1.    Flexible
Teachers have to flexible and patient because some students do not learn at the same
rhythm as others. They do not have to strict because students may not learn. Those may not
learn for the fact that they are afraid of the teachers. Also, too much homework can be a
disadvantage in the learning process.

2.    Knowledgeable

Teachers must know the subject matter because a teacher cannot pretend to teach math if he or she is an English teacher. They must know the approaches, methodologies and techniques for teaching.

3.    Innovative

Teachers have to be innovative by using new methods to teach. Now, there are many theories and approaches for teachers to apply them in classes and break the monotony in the classroom. Also, teachers can use technology to teach.

4.    Charismatic

If teachers are charismatic, teachers create a good atmosphere. This is advantage because students participate in classes, and they are not afraid of making mistakes. This is called rapport. The rapport can be good for students to learn easily

5.    Facilitator

Teachers must be facilitators. They have to help students to grow up in learning. Students have to be the center in the classroom, so teachers have to cover the necessities of the students.

If we apply those aspects in the classroom, we can be good teachers. There are missing some aspects, but those are considered some of the most important.
